Waipu Tree Care venture. All things in life have their own cycle. A tree grows leaves in spring, which it sheds in autumn, replaced again next spring.
In this way the tree rejuvenates itself and fuels other cycles around it. As the old, decomposing leaves become nutrients for other forms of life. A similar process happens with a business.
Staff members join us and add their experiences, skills and personality to the business.
When they leave it makes room for new members. Bringing with them new qualities which help the company to grow in new ways. This blog follows the story of an ex-employee of Pro Climb.
Who has gone on to set up a tree company of his own. Rob Dawson had been working in the Arboricultural industry for about 13 years. Before he joined Pro Climb. During the 2 years he spent with us he worked as a climber, consultant and also helped us with quoting.
He was involved in liaising with clients and Council Arborists.
To prepare resource consents for trees and to create long term management solutions for trees and woodlands. Rob feels that these experiences helped him to hone his skills. To satisfy the demands of the client and making sure he does work always in the best interest of the tree.
I see the role of a good arborist as considering both the needs of the client and the tree, and providing an effective solution that satisfies both. – Rob Dawson
Rob recently moved north to Waipu to set up Waipu Tree Care
Where he has bought a house with his wife in a small rural community. He decided to set up his own company, Waipu Tree Care, utilising many of the skills he developed whilst at Pro Climb – Pro Climb. He hopes to take the knowledge he gained from working in a big city and apply it to his environment.
The wide range of situations and clients I worked with at Pro Climb – Pro Climb have really helped to prepare me for running my own company. I learnt a lot from Rossy about the business aspect of tree work and how to offer a quality service. Rob Dawson
We’ve had some new members join the team since Rob left bringing knowledge and skills from their varied experiences, so the evolution of Pro Climb – Pro Climb continues. We are happy to see one of our employees stepping out on their own and taking on the challenge of running an Arborist business. We wish Rob all the best from the team at Pro Climb – Pro Climb.
