The Pro Climb events calendar for 2020 was a bit empty for a while. However, with caution we are delighted to announce our events are coming back to life. There are a few exciting events on the horizon for passionate arboriculture practitioners, like us.
First off the rank is of course our all-time favourite the NZARB annual conference this year in Queenstown for the 9–10 Nov 2020.
With of course, the Husqvarna National Tree Climbing Championship on the weekend before! Chelsea and Rossy are both are presenting at the conference this year so we look forward to seeing you all there.
NZARB Events Qualifying Rounds
If you want to qualify for the Husqvarna National Tree Climbing Championship in Queenstown, you better make your way to your regional Tree Climbing Competitions and score well. Pun intended.
The following three remaining qualifying events are scheduled.
- NZ Arb Husqvarna South Island Regional TCC 12–13 Sep 2020
- NZ Arb Husqvarna Waikato/BOP Regional TCC 19 Sep 2020
- NZ Arb Husqvarna Auckland Regional TCC 10–11 Oct 2020
Probably hard to get to at the moment but the virtual experience could be amazing. The 2020 ISA Annual International Conference and Trade Show in Albuquerque, New Mexico has been rescheduled for 15-17 December 2020.
ISA will host a virtual experience
For the first time ever, ISA will host a virtual experience along with the live conference in Albuquerque. ISA hopes that these new dates allow time for more of our members to be able to travel, our exhibitors to operate, and our community to recover.
Find out more about what’s happening at the event here: https://www.isa-arbor.com/Events/Annual-Conference/2020-Annual-Conference. We are excited to see how this is going to work.
Scheduled for January 2021 is the (virtual) TCI summit. The team there are working hard to bring this to life and enable us to all attend virtually. The rest of the world is sadly still in the clutches of COVID and its exiting to see this event scheduled regardless! https://summit.tcia.org/
Arboriculture Australia
Sadly, Arboriculture Australia have had to postpone their 2020 national event as they feel that it’s the safest and best option for all concerned. However, they have announced their intention for a 2021 event taking place on the Gold Coast in May. We’ll be watching with anticipation.
Here’s to the recovery of these wonderful events and to supporting our industry globally. We wish our fellow arborists and practitioners worldwide a safe 2020 as we observe the challenges, they all continue to face. All the best from the Pro Climb Team.
