The Hackfalls Arbor Camp 2020 will be on the 21-22 March. Rossy from Pro Climb Tree Care and Mark from Arbor Care Gisborne, have been organising this annual event for the last 9 years.
Hackfalls Arbor Camp offers rare opportunities to share your passion and knowledge with colleagues and friends.
While you help sustain this wonderful heritage asset. Every year, we have the latest climbing and rigging equipment available for you.
You can test this equipment thanks to Treetools and participate in our interactive workshops covering a range of topics.
The BBQ will feature home-kill, we have a fridge for your beer, and there will be plenty of wood for campfires.
So, pencil it in your calendars and bring your families, friends and colleagues along for a great weekend in March.
Hackfalls Arbor Camp 2020 is in Tiniroto, near Gisborne.
Located in Tiniroto near Gisborne, Hackfalls Arboretum is home to over 3000 species and varieties of oaks, alders, cherries, magnolias, maples and more.
The collection of evergreen and semi-evergreen Mexican oak species is considered the largest private collection of oaks in the Southern Hemisphere.
Hackfalls boasts a variety of spectacular walking tracks, lakes and gardens to visit.
The property is also a working sheep and cattle station, which means you get to experience this flourishing arboretum within a picturesque East Coast farm setting.

Come and join the team at Hackfalls Arbor Camp 2020!
- Friday 20 March: Arrival and set-up.
- Saturday 21 March: Sustaining one of New Zealand’s most wonderful heritage assets and sharing ideas with colleagues from around the nation, and the world.
- Sunday 22 March: Climbing, learning and special events. More fun, before packing up to go home.
Basic camping facilities are provided as well as a social BBQ on Saturday night. The rest of the weekend is a potluck/self-catering kind of event.
